We're back! The annual VoxBox Record Store Day party has become famous among music lovers in Scotland since our first one in 2012
The annual VoxBox Record Store Day party has become famous among music lovers in Scotland since our first one in 2012. When PAWS kicked out the jams in the Tic 10 years ago it was a bit noisy and were told by a neighbour that this is "too strong for Stockbridge".
For RSD this year we have a pop-up venue at the end of the street. All of the exclusive RSD records we have will be there, as well as bands, music author interviews, and a licensed bar.
For info about releases, the system for buying records on the day, etc check http://voxboxmusic.co.uk/rsd/

The venue holds 120 and is stewarded. Ramp accessible. Free entry all day. Plenty of space at the front for kids.
We opened in 2011 and Covid restrictions prevented a party to celebrate our 10th anniversary last year and so this will be an overdue celebration of the shop 10 years after it became too strong for Stockbridge - and the bands and labels that work so hard to provide our aural sustenance throughout the year.
Record Store Day is always about the musicians. No musicians, no records.
We will have most but not all of the releases. Let us know if there is anything a bit odd that you like to make sure we order some/more.
The sun has always shone on St Stephen Street on Record Store Day. It's a lovely street with plenty of shops to see. So come down and have fun with us.
Shop open at 0800-1800
Live music from 1100-1800
The usual COVID-19 precautions will be in place. In addition, we will be well ventilated and free N95 masks will be provided.
