I’m from Glasgow ,but spent a portion of my life in London always been a musician and avid record collector, I co-own a Scottish Indie label and work closely with bands t’m ing +merch duties. Record Store owner just kind of happened (still pinch myself)

I have a punk rock hub which also does guitars fine art ,memorabilia and mainly new music. My customers range from young to old skool punk rockers, being close to iconic Glasgow venue The Barrowland Ballroom I often have bands playing there popping in.

Clearly remember the first 2 customers were young teens and they bought a Dead Kennedys In God we Trust vinyl and The Vibrators  Alaska (second hand) The last  Black Country New Road signed Ants from up There, She Drew the Gun- Behave Myself  and Fontaines DC- Dogral .

Very much so the first record I bought was by T-Rex  (Truck on Tyke )  From Listen Records I had seen them at the Glasgow Apollo in 1974 ( I was 9 years old ) I then bought Sweet’s Biggest Hits album ( after seeing them twice ).

I loved Sister Ray and Steve’s Sounds in Soho London and I often pop into Love Music and Mostly Vinyl Mickey my neighbouring fellow record shop.

The buzz of queueing and getting that elusive record that sold out everywhere!

This is my first record store day and I’m already incredibly excited about this.

I went to David Bowie’s unofficial birthday party in the Hanover Grand in Regent St W1 with around 300 other lucky souls three and a half hours of bliss. The Clash, Devo and Strokes were also memorable to me.

I’m not really a reader, I do like musical autobiographies although I loved Luke Haines Bad Vibes which was partly fictional – I Hope!  .I also enjoyed a book I’m selling just now Grammar Free in the UK by DD Philpot and I can’t wait to get the John McGeoch book which is out in April .

Uncle Buck !

The Clash, Ramones , Joe Jackson and some Doo Wop

The Strokes , Ramones , The Clash , David Bowie and The Streets on the main stage!

The Ramones  Rocket to Russia , Elvis Costello and the Attractions My Aim is True  (tied)
