Following his summer hit "Tutto va bene quando facciamo l'amore" (remixed by Yuksek and Jabberwocky among others) and his album Domani è un'altra notte (released last fall on Kwaidan Records - Marc Collin record label known as Nouvelle Vague band master mind with the support of agnes b.,) Alex Rossi is back with a cover of Italian band Matia bazar's 1977 international hit Solo tu from, a memory of a childhood spent riding around in his father's Alfa Romeo.
Solo? No, but rather as a duo, with musician/actress Calypso Valois (whose debut album Cannibale was released in 2017, and who was recently featured in the series Vernon Subutex.) This brand-new version, recorded remotely in full confinement, was arranged by faithful accomplice Romain Guerret (Aline, Donald Pierre, Pauline Croze) and mixed by Julien Galner (Corine, Naive New Beaters, Kiddy Smile). The cover was designed by their friend, creator and designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, aka JCDC. The summer of 2020 has already fallen in love with this timeless, infectious banger.
