The limited edition RP1 is part of the bespoke Record Store Day branded range designed by Rega to commemorate this year’s event. 500 RSD branded turntables have been manufactured by the Rega team with 12 of these being signed by key artists including Liam Gallagher, Mark Knopfler and Royal Blood. The signed turntables will be distributed complete with security seals at random to participating record store day stores and Rega retailers and available for purchase at £250.

And for the 13th limited edition deck, Record Store Day, Rega, War Child and Pete Mckee have come together to help raise money for a great cause.

Pete McKee, who’s iconic style can be seen on the likes of tour posters for Oasis and collaborations with Paul Smith, Warp Films and the Arctic Monkeys said “Most people that are familiar with my work will know that I have a strong love for vinyl, so when Record Store Day asked if I would take part in this project I instantly said yes. I have painted on the side of buildings and on scooters before but never a record player. It’s all for a great cause so please dig deep. Long live vinyl.”

The auction is now live here and will close on the 19th April. For more information on Rega’s bespoke Record Store Day range please see /news/liam-gallagher-royal-blood-and-mark-knopfler-among-12-key-artists-signing-secret-record-store-day-turntables-1.aspx

Record Store Day

Record Store Day was conceived 9 years ago in the USA and was brought to the UK a year later.  Now in its 8th year and co-ordinated by the Entertainment Retailers Association and Spencer Hickman, the day brings together hundreds of the UK’s independent record shops to celebrate their own unique culture.  Exclusive vinyl is made available on the day and the stores often have live shows and other in store events to celebrate the day.

Rega Research

Rega Research was formed over 40 years ago by vinyl fanatics Roy Gandy and Tony Relph and has continued to manufacture hand-built turntables and hi-fi separates at their facility in Southend-on-Sea ever since. From a modest beginning the company now employs over 90 people in a purpose-built factory designed by Roy. Performance, reliability, value for money and incorporating advanced and often unique engineering solutions are all keystones of Rega designs and the multiple awards and high esteem their products are held in internationally bears testament to their quality.

War Child

War Child protects children from the brutal effects of war and helps to rebuild their lives. They're on the ground in some of the world's most dangerous countries - providing life-changing support for the most vulnerable children whose homes, families and communities are torn apart by conflict.
