I have chosen Sandanista by The Clash as my isolation record.  It’s the Clash really pushing the boundaries. it’s a messy and sprawling triple album but it’s got it all punk, reggae, dub, rap, gospel and plenty of truly great Clash moments. It never sounds dated because it truly was ahead of its time. RIP Joe.

My new release album is The New Abnormal by The Strokes. I’ve noticed it had some rave reviews so gave it a listen last week and can see why – I’ve not really listened to The Strokes since their first album but this is astonishing! It’s the kind of record that you would play in a busy shop and guarantee to sell a couple – and it’s got the perfect title for the times!

The Velvet Underground and Nico

Surely the perfect isolation album? Legendary music, iconic cover art, coolest band photo ever. You could spend literally weeks having fun investigating its history and the careers of Lou Reed, John Cale and Nico.  Relax, open some wine and play it loud give the neighbours a treat.

Lee Ranaldo and Raül Refree
A collage of experimentalism, spoken words and traditional music which creates a quirky record with a likeable Mediterranean echo. Every song is like a poem and represents a different primitive world. Perfect for people who like vibrating and theatrical atmospheres.
