Piccadilly Records, Manchester

As well as having a huge amount of limited edition RSD vinyl and CDs on offer, we'll also be hosting some very special instore activity to keep the crowds entertained throughout the big day. DJ wise, we’ve assembled a cracking team of musicians, label heads and vinyl experts to keep the queue moving and grooving with an eclectic mix of their favourite tunes. This year’s line-up features 2014 Record Of The Year Winner Jane Weaver, 2015 Record Of The Year Contenders Dutch Uncles, Balearic chieftain Moonboots, synth maestro Dean Meredith, our very own Philippa Jarman and Charlatan’s frontman Tim Burgess, so rest assured your ears are in good hands.

12pm-1pm......Dutch Uncles
1pm-2pm........Jane Weaver
2pm-3pm........Moonboots (Aficionado)
3pm-4pm........Dean Meredith (Rhythm Odyssey/Mind Fair/Chicken Lips)
4pm-5pm........Philippa Jarman (Piccadilly Records/Homoelectric)
5pm-6pm........Tim Burgess

As well as bringing proceedings to a triumphant close with his expert selection of vinyl gems, we’ve charged Mr Burgess with keeping everyone refreshed and energised with tea and coffee from his Tim Peaks Diner. If you’ve never sampled his Fairtrade delights, then you’re in for a treat.

But that’s not all folks. After meeting brilliant illustrator, designer and screen printer That Girl at last year’s Liverpool Psych Fest, where she delivered an interactive screen print workshop with festival goers, we’ve invited her to bring her DIY print set up to Piccadilly Records for the day. As well as being a member of numerous art collectives in the North West, most notably Screenadelica Gig Poster Exhibition ( and a frequent designer of sleeve artwork, That Girl also delivers creative workshops in printing to novices and experts alike, so don’t be shy and jump right in. You’ll have the opportunity to try your hand at screen printing and take away your own print designed by That Girl.

So expect queues, brews, wax and snacks as we celebrate Record Store Day the only way we know how.
